Jaguar XJ-SC 3.6 Convertible Manual 1987 ‘The Javelin’ SKU481

In 1983 the Jaguar XJS had its V12 engine supplemented by the brand new 3.6 AJ6 6 Cylinder unit, a return to the classic XK and E type configuration, at the same time a convertible version was introduced, something the market (especially in the USA) had been wanting for years. The new convertible two seater Jaguar was called the XJ SC but wasn't strictly a full convertible, instead having a centre  Targa-type structure and  rear soft top. It was replaced in 1988 by a full convertible, making the Limited edition  XJ-SC one of the rare collectors items In the Jaguar family. This Caesium Blue 3.6-litre car was registered in September 1987 and has 118,795 miles recorded on its odometer. Cherished by the same owner since 2016, the car was only used for shows, where its distinctive  Caesium Blue (a genuine 2017 Jaguar colour) made it an instantly recognisable and often magazine featured star of the Jaguar Club Fitted with TWR alloy wheels, side-skirts and rear spoiler in 2019, has a full bare metal respray with beautifully executed preparation at a cost of £4000.
